CCH Pounder Heading To CBS For Legal Drama 'The Advocates'

CCH Pounder has joined the cast of CBS‘ legal drama pilot The Advocates, which is written and executive-produced by The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller.

David Nutter will direct the pilot for The Advocates, which centers on "female lawyer Shannon Carter and male ex-con Henry Bird who team up as “victim advocates,” going to the very edge of the law to right wrongs and fight for the underdog."

Pounder will play the head of the Victims Advocate office where Shannon, the lawyer works. She's described as dedicated.

Up next for Pounder will be Sudz Sutherland's drama Home Again, on the big screen, amongst other titles.
