Chandra Wilson Will Direct 5th Episode Of "Grey's Anatomy"

I had no idea Chandra Wilson had previously directed episodes of ABC's hit Shonda Rhimes drama Grey's Anatomy. Did you? Then again, I'm maybe in the minority when I say that I never really got into the show. I tried, but didn't really hook me.

Anyway... Wilson, who also is one of the show's stars, playing Dr. Miranda Bailey, will be getting behind the camera again, for the 5th time, directing the third episode of the upcoming season, which debuts in September.

The episode will "feature several of the fifth-year residents doing their first solo surgeries," says TV Guide.com.

Past episodes she directed for those interested in checking them out again or for the first time: White Wedding (2011), Almost Grown (2010), Push (2010), Give Peace a Chance (2009).

Might Ms Wilson decide to stretch her director's cap to feature filmmaking? Who knows... obviously she has interest.

But at least, if you didn't know before that she was helming episodes of Grey's, now you do.
