Directed by Daniel Chace and Bob Hercules, the film chronicles the highs and lows, the tragic life and ultimate triumph of BIlly Taylor, a true legend in college football.
Considered the greatest running back ever for the University of Michigan, Taylor went on to play pro ball for both the American and Canadian football leagues. That is until two tragedies turned Taylor's life upside down which led to him sinking in a morass of alcohol, drugs, homelessness, and prison.
However Taylor was able to turn his life around receiving a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Nevada and now is on a mission to help others whose lives have fallen by the wayside as his did once.
The film will be screened at the Gene Siskel Film center in downtown Chicago on Friday January 4 at 8PM and Saturday Jan. 5 at 5PM, and both the filmmakers and Dr. Taylor will be in attendance for both screening.
