Chris Rock is reportedly working on a new comedy script for himself and Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids star) to star in.
In this yet-to-be-titled project, Rock and McCarthy would play a husband and wife - a "Jerry Springer couple" who "indulge in some boisterous dysfunction," according to the comedian/actor/writer/director.
"I'm trying to romance her," Rock told the LA Times in an interview last week in Park City, Utah at the Sundance Film Festival, referring to his plans to convince the actress to sign on for the project.
Nothing further on that right now.
Rock was at Sundance with Julie Delpy to push their dramedy 2 Days In New York, which debuted at the festival and was soon acquired for distribution; though no date on that release yet.
The LA Times piece also states that Rock has several projects that he's writing, including new material for a stand-up tour (nice!) and a feature film in which he'd play a stand-up comedian.
Dude is busy...
