Chris Brown, Laz Alonso, Josh Holloway and Caity Lotz will headline Screen Gems' dance film Planet B Boy, to be directed by Benson Lee.

The film will be based on director Lee's 2007 documentary, also titled Planet B-Boy, which was set in the international world of "B-boying" (aka break dancing).

The fictional narrative film inspired by Lee's award-winning documentary "will follow an all-star American b-boy crew training to compete at the Battle of the Year International Championships in France. The crew and their coach must go up against the best b-boys in the world -- the Koreans, the Russians and the French, who have dominated the original American dance form for the past decade."

Meh... I'll pass. Seen enough of these dance flicks. There was even a parody movie of the group, wasn't there?

By the way, I tried looking for a matching image of Laz holding a puppy like Chris is, showing his *sensitive* side for the ladies, but couldn't :)

Watch the trailer for the doc the film will be based on below:

This movie could actually be Huge if the script has a rags to riches or soft touch feel to it. So everything is depending upon the script. Christ is a dancing machine. Go Chris

Looking forward to seeing Laz!! Such a fine actor & man. Chris who??

laz is one of the worst actors ever to have the nerve to call himself an actor by trade. no thank you. after the hot mess that was jumping the broom, all his films are on the "never in hell would i pay to see" list. but i will check out the documentary.

LMFAO @ the puppy as well. Now I'm SMFH. My attitude towards Chris has cooled and I'm learning to forgive him. I hope he never does that again.

Having said that I REALLY LIKED 'Stomp the Yard' I haven't felt the need to watch it again, but when I saw it in theaters I enjoyed it...I also went with my my daughter who's 20 now. Don't think she'll be coming to see this one with me so...shrug.

Also I know A LOT of grown ass/old ass women (early 40's LOL) that LOVE Chris Brown. Supershrug <~ That kinda looks like a breakdance move (O_O)

First of the the original Doc was awesome...I wonder if the film will be true to the genre and true to the Documentary....Asians Dominate in the international
    dance world.

@V -- Better he kicked the puppy than what Vick would've done....

    LMAO!

Not even remotely interested. Chris is a woman beater and Laz looks like an undercover one. Plus, he is such a wooden actor.
Sweet jesus im having flashbacks to that horrorfest "Stomp the yard".
