Empire Corner premiered at the Sarasota Film Festival in April 2010, and was on the festival circuit for most of the year. After watching this film and Digital Antiquities, I am definitely looking forward to seeing what Mr. Chan has to offer next.
Empire Corner features Teyonah Parris (How Do You Know) and Alexis Camins in the lead roles, while Shalita Grant and Jo Mei give supporting performances. Mei and Corey Antonio Hawkins, who also has a supporting role in Empire Corner, are the two leads from Digital Antiquities.
Chan's website provides this brief synopsis for Empire Corner:
A woman travels across two worlds to find a man she never got a chance to know.
There was also a sequel, of sorts, to Empire Corner, titled Wu Is Dead, by director Richard Wong. It continues the story of Empire Corner, but in a more light-hearted fashion.

I enjoyed both films. The last film was cute and zany.
