Production is moving forward on "Click Here: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Making Movies".
After selecting several emerging storytellers whose filmmaking journeys are being chronicled, our production has started interviewing industry experts, thought leaders, and filmmakers about how the industry is changing and where it's headed. We're doing a couple weeks of production in NYC, will be travelling to the Toronto International Film Festival in September, and then moving on to Austin, TX and Los Angeles, CA for our final interviews.
We're turning the cameras on our process of making '$FREE.99,' a heist script that I co-wrote with Candice Sanchez McFarlane that was awarded the Creative Promise Award at Tribeca All Access and hope that the film will put a spotlight on what it takes to journey from script to ANY screen in today's industry.
We're looking for interview referrals too so please feel free to head over to our Facebook Page, like us, and let us know on our timeline anyone you think we should be reaching out to! Below is a sequence we put together to give a glimpse of what we've compiled thus far. We'll make a more complete trailer as the interviews pile up.
About the project:
Ever wonder how all that video ends up on YouTube? How a film reaches your local multiplex or art house theatre? Why your child wants to go to film school, or better yet, use that money to go ahead and shoot their passion project? The universal power of storytelling has infected more people than ever before and audiences have the ability to find the content they desire virtually any time of day. CLICK HERE is a feature length documentary that follows several emerging mediamakers as they navigate the minefield of taking a project from script to screen. It’s do or die for these artists and you’re riding shotgun on their journey. With interviews from the movers and shakers that have shaped the entertainment industry over the past four decades, coupled with exclusive access to the creative brainstorming and production processes that bring it all together, you’ll finally know all the ingredients next time you click on that video!
