File this one under "unconfirmed" for now; although my sources haven't let me down so far, so I'm sharing what I've got on the project.

I'm told that Sanaa Lathan is prepping a feature drama titled All In, which she will produce as well as star in, under the direction of Joy Lusco Kecken.

The film's story centers on a down-on-her-luck poker player who tries to make a comeback in the game.

Lathan will presumably play the poker player. No other cast was mentioned.

Joy Lusco Kecken is penning the script as well. Her resume should impress fans of The Wire and Homicide, because she wrote for both shows, and even directed an episode of The Wire.

Skip ahead a couple of days later, and Scott Kecken (partner of writer and director of the project, Joy Lusco Kecken, as well as co-founder of Film Foundry, the production company they both run), confirmed that this is indeed happening, meaning our sources were correct!

So congrats to Sanaa; it's a project we'll be watching closely from here-on.

As previously noted, Kecken is also co-writer of the adaptation of Thulani Davis' drama/trhiller Maker Of Saints, which Erykah Badu and Roger Guenveur Smith are attached to star in currently.

So Sanaa should be in good hands with this project. In addition to Homicide and The Wire, the Keckens have worked on other film projects with notable talents like Andre Braugher.

Piper Productions and LoveWorks Entertainment are co-producers.

The last time we saw Sanaa Lathan in a feature film was in Contagion last year, although she wasn't on screen much. She's currently co-starring on the Starz drama series Boss, with Kelsey Grammer.

Up next for her is the thriller Vipaka, with Forest Whitaker and Antony Mackie.
