The starring lead in a regular TV series seems like a good opportunity for the Oscar winner, who has had a string of lackluster roles in recent years.
Guilty, written by Greg Belanti and Marc Guggenheim, will co-star Eva Amurri Martino as an attorney named Lily, who works closely with Gooding Jr.'s character Billy.
Guggenheim, who is set to direct the pilot, will executive produce alongside Peter Johnson.

I am indeed overjoyed for him because after the oscar win his film choices have been rather abysmal to say the least. So, I really applaude him giving TV a try, if this goes well and hoping it would seeing as it is FOX and they don't do shit shows (if it were NBC, I would be worried), this could re-vitalise his career and take us back to the Cuba we know and love from Jerry Maguire and Men of Honour. I would also like African American big actors who we dont see too often on film anymore like Terrence Howard and Halle Berry give TV a try because with the right show in the right role, their careers could blossom.

Good for him. His character better be really f*cked up, or Fox probably won't pick it up. Their procedurals tend to either have a little edge to them or have some really unique hook.
