Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has joined the cast of Summit's action-thriller The Tomb, alongside the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim CaviezelVincent D'Onofrio, Vinnie Jones, and Amy Ryan.

The $70 million film, to be directed by Mikael Hafstrom (1408, Derailed) centers on an expert on structural security (Stallone) "who is framed and put in a high-security prison of his own design. He must put his skills to the test to find out who put him there," says Variety.

No word on what role Fiddy will play; and despite how I feel about his acting ability, dude just continues to get hooked up (or hook himself up) with projects, and each time, the caliber of stars he's surrounded with increases - Robert De Niro, Nicolas CageBruce Willisand now Stallone and Schwarzenegger.

And by the way, these are all Emmett/Furla projects.

I think he is a producer of the film as well, because Emira & 50 own the film production company which produces the movie.

Michael Jai White also creates his own projects, many on DVD, but satisfies his fanbase.

Producing means skin in the game and greater influence on the final product. Denzel Washington, Ice Cube, Queen Latifah, and Will Smith know this well. Eddie Murphy and Halle Berry should produce more.
