Damon Wayans Jr. has sold a comedy series to FOX titled Man/Child, with a pilot production commitment.

Wayans Jr. previously appeared in Fox’s New Girl and on ABC’s Happy Endings, which was cancelled after three seasons by ABC earlier this year.

Earlier this year, FOX also greenlit a feature film starring Wayans Jr (alongside Jake Johnson of The New Girl), titled Let’s Be Cops

To be directed by Luke Greenfield from his own script, the film will follow two best friends looking to add some excitement to their lives, who choose to impersonate cops for kicks - a plan that gets them into a heap of trouble when they unknowingly mess with a real mobster, and shit suddenly gets real.

I'm very happy for Damon Wayans Jr. It's nice to know that he's carrying on the family tradition well. I can't wait to see what the full product looks like in the future.

The premise doesn't excite me, but it's definitely execution-dependent. I'm a fan of his, so I'll definitely check it out if it gets picked up.

His Let's Be Cops movie was actually filmed this summer. Looking forward to it.
