From multi-media development, production and distribution studio RadioactiveGiant, comes a project titled Killing Winston Jones - a feature film starring Richard Dreyfuss and Danny Glover, and directed by actor/director Joel David Moore (this will be his second feature film directorial effort; in 2007, he helmed a thriller titled Spiral, which was well-received, and won some awards on the festival circuit).
Danny Masterson and Jon Heder also star.
Killing Winston Jones is described as a smart, quirky, dark comedy, with filming set to being in Savannah, GA, on November 26th through December 21st.
Written by Justin T. Winters, "Killing Winston Jones" is a dark, quirky comedy about the lives of two small-town, dysfunctional families who grapple with the issues of pride, love, legacy --- and death. Ethan Jones (Masterson), a sixth-grade English teacher, is on a mission to get the newly constructed Junior High gymnasium named after his elderly father Winston (Dreyfuss), the retired gym teacher, despite the fact that being dead is one of the requirements. When Winston gets locked in a bitter contest over the naming rights with his old rival, Washington (Glover), Ethan finds his life - and his family - spiraling out of control.
The project is currently casting up peripheral roles.
Glover is one busy actor, working on both the big and small screens consistently. In addition to Sheldon Candis' LUV, other projects on Glover's upcoming slate include The Trials of Muhammad Ali for HBO, and Tula, The Revolt (the feature on the slave uprising in Curacao.
Killing Winston Jones will be produced by Albert Sandoval and Daemon Hillin of RadioactiveGiant with Tom Somerset and Peter Winther serving as executive producers.
