Dayo Okeniyi (Thresh in The Hunger Games) has landed roles in 2 new projects.
First, an indie coming-of-age drama titled The Spectacular Now, an adaptation of a novel by Tim Tharp, to be directed by James Ponsoldt (Smashed), and which centers on "a charismatic high school senior who lives only for the moment."
Okeniyi joins a cast that already includes Shailene Woodley, Milles Teller and Brie Larson.
It's not yet known what role he'll play in the film.
And second, a crime drama titled Runner, Runner, which stars Ben Affleck as "a businessman caught up in the world of offshore online gaming."
Justin Timberlake co-stars in that project, with Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) directing, and Leonardo DiCaprio producing.
Okeniyi will play a Princeton PhD student.
These are Dayo's first two signings since The Hunger Games.
