The DC Black Theater Festival taking place in Washington, from June 12th to the 19th, will bring a host of stories written and presented by African American playwrights from across the country.
All the details, including information on the festival, the plays and other events (one act battles, a reading series, workshops, a director's challenge and more) that will run during this year's installment, the people involved, etc, can be found on the festival's website HERE.
Some names you might be familiar with who will appear in performances this year include Rain Pryor (daughter of Richard Pryor and Shelley R. Bonus), Doug E Doug, Melba Moore and Joe Clair, amongst others.
