Ok, I can finally announce how thrilled I am 2 B on board w/the "All My Children" re-boot & Prospect Park! Agnes Nixon, you're my HERO!!!

Debbi Morgan announced on Twitter yesterday that she'll be reprising her role as Dr. Angie Hubbard for the upcoming online version of the former ABC daytime soap, All My Children.

You'll recall the 2011 news that the series would go online after ABC's revealed that it had made a deal with an independent production company, Prospect Park, to keep the show ruinning online, on the company's planned online TV network, after ABC ended its broadcast TV run in January 2011.

Although it wasn't quite certain at the time when or even if this would become a reality.

I suppose we can now officially say that it will; and Debbi Morgan will be a part of it.

Soap fans - are you happy?

Thank God. I'm glad All My Children is coming back. It's gonna be good to see Debbi Morgan again as Angie Hubbard. It was nice to see her as Harmony on the Y & R but Harmony wasn't Angie. I hope All My Children pick up where it left off.

I'm glad to hear this...especially after Y&R squandered her talent. Congratulations Debbi!

AMC ended its broadcast run in September 2011, not January.

OMG!!! I am thrilled! She was the best on AMC! She deserved an Emmy for that performance! When she went blind and didnt know her real baby was dead, she was magnificent!

I was so disappointed by the finale because they staged it as if Prospect Park was going to happen, and left AMC fans out in the cold. Glad to hear its coming back. I'll be sure to watch it at 1pm just for old times sake. #yippy

Truth! If they would have submitted the one where she went to her baby's grave, that would have been it. She really put her all into that.

This is just the news I was waiting for regarding the AMC online reboot! If she weren't going tyo be apart of it in some way, I wouldn't be nearly as excited about the show coming back. Morgan was the best thing about AMC in its final years on ABC and I never felt that she really got the props she deserved from the network. As for her Emmy worthy work, unfortunately the Emmys (Daytime and Primetime) judge performances on a single episode, not an entire season or body of work in a given period of time, and the common opinion among soap opera industry insiders is that either Morgan or the show's producers routinely blundered when it came to submitting the right shows/material for the blue ribbon panels to judge her performances on. So even though she deserved to win, especially the year Angie and Jesse were reunited, and later for the blind storyline (both years that went on), it all depends on what single episode was submitted. If it was about the entire story arch instead, she's have three lead actress Emmys (within 5 years) on her mantle to accompany her supporting actress Emmy for playing Angie back in the late-1980s.
