For all of you readers at Howard University, or in the Washington DC area... this should definitely be worth your while, and I encourage you to attend if you can.

A filmmaker whose name has been mentioned quite a lot here on S&A over the years, Haitian director Raoul Peck (Lumumba) is heading to Howard for a lecture on his new book Stolen Images : Lumumba and the early films of Raoul Peck.

The lexture will also include a screening of his last film, Moloch Tropical, an exquisite work of cinema that I've championed heavily here on S&A.
