Derek Luke has joined the cast of the CBS drama pilot Second Sight, from Homeland's Michael Cuesta.

He joins Kim Dickens, Erik Jensen, Madison Moellers and Jason Lee, who stars in the project that's based on the U.K. series of the same name by Paula Milne, as a Det. Ross Tanner, who is suddenly afflicted with an autoimmune virus that causes hallucinations that reflect his subconscious, and which interferes with/informs his investigations.

Luke will play Det. Paul Giroux, described as a new member of Tanner's team, who's full of himself, overly-eager, and is after Tanner's job.

CSI's Carol Mendelsohn will also executive produce the drama alongside Julie Weitz, Nick Reed, Phil Goldfine and Paula Milne.

Up next for Luke, who recently featured on FX's The Americans, is David E. Talbert's romcom, Baggage Claim.

Luke got such high and universal praise for his recent work on "The Americans". Such a shame the films he has been limited too are third rate pics like the "Sparkle" remake.
