  Directv has an awesome services on sports packages while Dish Network is better on entertainment packages. On the other hand they are pretty similar, both are better than cable.

  I think it is funny that everyone is having a fit over television. This is a sad day in America, and for the human population. Our economy is shot, we are facing crisis never ever handled by society, not even close to the level we are now anyway. Technological advancements in our civilization cause us to live in fear of terror, pollution, and wart. Though here you all our worried about what DirectTv and Viacom will do next. Really television should be free, and we should all have access to it, as a society, civilization, and significant lifeforms we should be worried a lot more about bigger problems than this.   Directv did not pull Viacom channels, Viacom forced Direct to take them off. Secondly AT&T Uverse is not available except in a few cities.   Really who cares. It's not like the content on these channels was even worth the price they were asking. Besides anyone can see their shows on the internets. for freeeeeee. Mtv and VH1 pretty much killed themselves when they stopped offering music videos; not like that matters anymore either since the planet goes to youtube for videos now.   Viacom is responsible for 20 percent of directs viewing, and direct's paying 5 percent. It's the specialty sports channels like NFL, Big 10 and Golf that are taking unequal shares. But if they cancel those channels they have a holes like me threatening to cancel.

  DirecTV keeps eliminating channels from my package, but my bill continues to go up. Now I do realize that when I signed an electronic agreement to pay for services that could change service (decrease number of channels) and pricing (increase cost of service) without notice...but we live in a world where we expect decent treatment and fair and honest business practices. Expectations disappointed. I'm on the hook for another 10 months, but it might be worth the $200 early cancellation fee to tell DirecTV to go suck shit through a straw.

  The real irony is that Sean doesn't even use proper grammer so I'm sure he never went to school to get an education...and some of these programs get through to our younger kids like we can't.   Dish sucks! To get all these channels on Dish, you'll really pay out the
  ass!! I know it sucks people, but they'll come to an agreement soon. Don't drop and change. It's not worth it! I've had all of the big cable and satellite providers and there's good and bad about each one. And they charge about the same!
