"Dog Jack" Coming Out On DVD Jan. 31

The Civil War-set, independently made, family drama Dog Jack will be released on DVD on Jan. 31st through Screen Media Films, and the following month expanding into Video On Demand as well/.

The beautifully photographed, festival-played film, narrated by Lou Gossett Jr. and directed by Ed McDougal who wrote the screenplay with Joshua Russell, and produced by Don Albert, deals with a story of a slave boy (played by Benjamin Gardner) and his dog, who escapes the master's plantation to join the Union Army, leading him to eventually face his former master on the battlefield.
