Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson In Talks To Star In Indie Heist Thriller "Empire State" Based On True Story

And the beat doesn't stop for Dwayne Johnson... this would be like the 50th film he's attached to star in, if an agreement is reached. Dude is on overdrive right now. I guess you get while the getting's good; and it's apparently very good for him right now.

According to Deadline, Johnson is in talks to star alongside Liam Hemsworth in the indie heist thriller titled Empire State, written by Adam Mazer (Breach, HBO’s You Don’t Know Jack), with Dito Montiel (Fighting, The Son Of No One) directing.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in negotiations to play a character named "Ransone" in a film that's said to be based on "the true story of a 1982 NYC armored car company robbery thought at the time to be the largest cash heist in U.S. history."

Principal photography is scheduled to begin in April.
