Dwayne Johnson (does he still go by The Rock?) is reportedly "in talks" to join G.I. Joe 2, aka GI Joe: Cobra Strikes.

If all goes accordingly, Johnson will play a character named Roadblock.

Who is Roadblock you ask, as I did? Per Wikipedia, he is one of the most prominent African-Americans in the series, whose primary duty is as a heavy machine gunner; he's also a cook, and cousin to Heavy Duty, who was played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje in the first GI Joe movie in 2009. So, I suppose that means Heavy Duty won't be in the sequel? Can't have too many "colored" folks in one GI Joe movie, right?

The film will be directed in 3D, by the way.

G.I. Joe had a lot of great characters I'm sure they could make him one of those. Even if desn't return Roadblock could be on another mission or something. That's the way it was in the comics and cartoon. It was a revolving ensemble. I agree with Lynn let's see the Rock kick ass. I wasnt crazy about Faster, but at least he was killing people and sh*t.

Although his character was a butt head in Fast Five, Dwayne was delicious. LOL I'll watch any movie he's in.

Yeah, I think he only goes by Dwayne Johnson for acting ... in case he gets an Oscar nod. LOL The Rock is strictly for wrestling.

The Rock is better suited for action packed films like GI Joe so i can see him kicking ass and looking buff.
