Dwayne Johnson Producing 1980s-Set Fictional Wrestling Drama Series For NBC

Dwayne Johnson has teamed up with uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer for a fictional TV drama series set in the world of pro wrestling in the so-called β€œthe golden age of wrestling,” aka the 1980s, for NBC.

So, this will technically be a *period piece*?

Not much else is available on this new series, like if Johnson will act in it, or just produce; or whether it'll be based on any real-life wrestling celebrities of the time, like Hulk Hugan, Andre The Giant and others; whether it'll be an hour-long drama, or 30-minutes; when it might debut; etc...
