Speaking of up and coming young black actors... Edi Gathegi seems to be gradually making a name for himself in Hollywood, building a resume, both in film and TV - from Twilight to X-Men: First Class on the big screen, and bit parts on several TV shows, to, now, one of 3 lead roles in a new USA Network pilot (and hopefully an eventual series) titled Wild Card.
The program will be set in Las Vegas, and will center on two lawyers who "handle the type of problems that happen after the sun goes down and need to be solved before the sun the comes up" and their "smart, ambitious and resourceful investigator, who knows everyone in town."
Gathegi will play the investigator; Ben Lawson plays one of the lawyers; no word on who will be the other, although it's noted that it's a woman.
Wild Card is currently in production, for what will likely be a fall debut. I haven't seen any related media - stills, video clips, etc.

Script was pretty good. Felt dark, visually, since it happens mostly at night and is about the seedier/ambiguous side of Vegas (is there another side). Dunno if that'll still work as USA like brighter & lighter
Remember when he was cast and was like "FINALLY, somebody better snatch this dude off from HOUSE". Good stuff

The show looks very promising the executive producer/writer is Stephen Godchaux who wrote the TV series (Dead Like Me) and Cary Brokaw the (Closer).
I can't wait! It is so good to hear that Edi Gathegi will star in a major TV series. We need more Black young males on screen.

Very cool. I like some of USA's programming ("Psych", "White Collar"). Will have to remember to check this out. And kudos to Edi for landing another role.
