In the telepic, Keke Palmer is Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, Drew Sidora is Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and and Lil' Mama is playing the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.
Charles Stone III (Drumline, Paid in Full, Mr. 3000) is directing, from a script penned by screenwriter Kate Lanier (What’s Love Got To Do With It, Set it Off, Beauty Shop).
The two surviving members of the group, Chilli and T-Boz, have signed on as consultants and executive producers for the movie. Executive producing are the real Bill Diggins, as well as Maggie Malina, Jeff Olde, Jill Holmes and Alexander A. Motlagh.

A huge part of Dallas Austin's identity is that he is a proud black man. Evan is half-white, way too light-skinned, and I've never ever heard him admit to being a black person. Also, Austin's family has not at all been consulted on the script and I heard they're giving Evan a charcoal makeover to make him look more like the guy. THIS IS SO DISRESPECTFUL, I AM OUTRAGED BY THIS BIRACIAL BITCH STEALING ROLES THAT COULD GO TO PHARRELL, SOME RAPPER, MICHAEL B JORDAN, OR ADEPERO ODUYE! RIOT! BOYCOTT! I WILL NOT BE PAYING MY CABLE BILL THE MONTH THIS MOVIE COMES OUT. REAL BLACK MEN JUST CAN'T CATCH A BREAK.

Why did they even hold auditions? I feel bad for the tons of actors that went out and wasted their time going into the room to audition so that the director and producers just ended up going with name actors. What a crock and a load. SMDH.

Evan is a really solid actor. He also looks like he could be a much younger, much more sober version of Dallas. I can see him as Dallas.
