Well, here we go again; you know the deal... we've been here before, so I'm not even going to bother with any commentary. Just the facts...
Titled Madea's Witness Protection, the film's official synopsis reads:
Comic legend Eugene Levy (the AMERICAN PIE franchise, BEST IN SHOW) stars in the film as George, a high level CFO at the center of a Ponzi scheme in New York City who is enrolled in the Witness Protection program along with his family in the one place that absolutely no one will think to look for them: Madea's house down South.
Funnyman Eugene Levy, Denise Richards, Tom Arnold, Doris Roberts, Danielle Campbell and Devan Leos make up the starring cast - George's family (wife, mother and kids) and business associate (Arnold).
The supporting cast will comprise of Romeo Miller (Jumping The Broom), the son of rapper Master P, as Jake, a friend of Brian (an attorney who places the family in Madea's care, also played by Tyler Perry) who was affected by the scam; and veterans John Amos and Marla Gibbs also co-star - Amos as Jake's (Romeo Miller's) father in the film, and Gibbs appears as Madea's neighbor.
This will be Tyler Perry's 14th feature film with Lionsgate in 7 years - or about 2 a year - and they've collectively grossed close to $600 million at the North American box office alone.
His second of 3 films to be released in 2012; the first was Good Deeds, and the next will be Alex Cross, which will be out in the fall.
Madea's Witness Protection will be out June 29th, 2012.

I'm watching this in my local coffee shop surrounded by a bunch of other educated Negroes. Now I'm all self-conscious.

It definitely looks buffonish and silly....BUT..sometimes you have to laugh at that...you can't hate Tyler's hustle and rise...and he wouldn't be where he is if people didn't support him from day one..

@Carlton Jordan, I don't care to see men, especially Black Men cross dress for laughs. For me, it's emasculating, and not very funny. You call call it phobic if u want.. I acknowledge the right of Tyler Perry to make whatever type of flicks he wants. I just won't support these kinds of flicks, that's all.

It's time to just take Madea for what she is. She's honestly not going anywhere and she is funny...I mean we could be watching another Big Momma's House lmao. At least Tyler tries to put a little message and soul into his stories, even if it fails 80% of the time

Alex Cross will be the first Tyler Perry movie I'll ever see: it's Madea free.

Honestly there was a point when I thought Tyler would grow as an artist/filmmaker ..but he is regressing. Swiftly.

I dare not show this to my lady. If I do, my dumb ass will be sitting front row on opening night :0(. That reminds me, as I am typing this, she's in the other room laughing and talking to the TV as she watches last seasons episodes of Nurse Jackie. I can't stand Nurse Jackie's trampy ass. But to be honest, I do find Madea to be quite entertaining. I mean, I do laugh at some of that mess that falls from her mouth.

Looks good.

It is what it is.. no sense complaining, just "vote" with your dollars. If you don't want to see this type of buffoonery, then don't pay for it. Unfortunately Black men cross dressing for laughs will continue to be a big hit unless Black folks collectively demand better by speaking with their money..
