SHEER AWESOMENESS!

You can have Red Tails; here's another clip from what will no doubt be the one black film of the year that must be seen by everyone.

I'm talking, of course, about Gang of Roses 2, which is heading straight-to-DVD (you think they would actually release this in theaters?) on Feb 14.

This time we have the multi-talented and Nobel Prize winner for economics Amber Rose with Wiz Khalifa, who, from what I understand (according the black gossip websites), is some sort of rapper who smokes a lot of reefer, and is Rose's current boyfriend in her latest desperate attempt to stay relevant.

Prepare yourself for some truly electrifying cinema.

And underneath that you'll find a video with the film's director, Jean Claude LaMarre, defending his film and calling out all those losers who have nothing better to do but to waste their time saying terrible things about his film.

We're all haters, just jealous about the fact the he's been very successful and lives in a $2.5 million Beverly Hills condo (which I'm sure is in foreclosure)

And he goes on to say that he made the film for and respects black women, before telling us his side of the story about a physical fight that he got into with one of the female cast members during shooting. I found out that the actress is currently suing LaMarre for punching her in the face.

You know, why do I even bother to write anything for this site? Sometimes the stuff just writes itself.

    "Nobel Prize winner for economics"
In that vein: "Amber Rose went to Ghana" http://bit.ly/z7Ie35

You go bruh! Fuck the haters. Keep doing your thing. I applaud you and other black indie filmmakers out here working outside of this fucked up Hollywood system. Our people should be applauding you instead of shitting on you like they've been. There's all this hype about movies like Pariah, The Help, just because the white man said it's good. Fuck that noise. We gotta stop all this crab in the barrel bullshit. It's fucking 2012, when will we learn to just support each other. If more black folks had the opportunity to make movies, we'll have something for everybody. But that's not the case, so lets stop the noise and support or brothers and sisters out there hustling to make their cinematic art. (yeah, I know, art is relative). IF THIS SHIT WAS EASY ALL YOU HATERS WOULD BE OUT THERE DOING IT. SO SHUT THE FUCK UP IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY.

Now I know what Chris Rock meant when he talking about the difference between niggers and black people. ;)

    Excuse me-
First of all we don't need all the profanity on this website.
It's no one's fault this director can't take folks not liking his product or who he casted in it. Every film maker goes through it. Calling folks haters just show how immature he is as a person.
You make a bad film that no oen wants to see, then you made a bad film. Learn from teh mistakes and start over again.

Also it's not my job to write movies-my job is to go work in a school district trying to save as many black boys as I can by educating them. Educating them so that one day maybe one of them can be rich enough to fund black movies so we can have some variety outside of Tyler Perry.

As for why Gagn Rose airs on Tv ONe-it has nothign to do with ratings. Networks will rerun stuff to death just look at IFC-if Boondock Saints air ONE more time.

Just checked out LaMarre's imdb.pro page and I get it now...He's a comedy director. He just doesn't know it. By the way, genius. real smart for a black man to be talking about your net worth on a publicly circulated video. What, are you begging for an IRS audit? Real 'playas' know better.

  • cant | January 13, 2012 6:43 PM

Maybe he does know it?? Why would you assume that he wanted to make a serious western?! He obviously casted Wiz and put him on a horse with tattoos. He's not blind.. That's what I don't get, why do people assume this is suppose to be taken serious?! Did cow boys and aliens really want us to believe in cowboys fighting aliens? Too damn funny how serious the folks on here are responding. I think the director was saying "take a chill pill" I watched Gang of Roses one today on TV One and I assume it gets ratings since they KEEP playing it. BET too.

    Hmmmm where do I begin?

Sir, you did not make this movie for me. You made it so you could continue to pay for that $2.5 million condo. And to be completely honest, I like my everyday life better than ANYTHING Gang of Roses (I & II) would have to offer; so I take my reality thank you very much. And please don't amount this criticism of the film to black women hating on other black women. Child, please.....smh...

I love how at the end he asks for people to support his movie after talking down to them. LMAO!

  • Laura | January 12, 2012 10:18 PMReply

I don't understand people like him and Tyler Perry. They really think that they are creating art. They make movie with no or little artistic/technical merit. That's what I love about Roger Corman and Lloyd Kaufman. They know they aint creating art. They are making B movies and people eat it up. Come on, The Toxic Avenger, The Class of Nukem High, Little Shop of Horrors, The Fast and the Furious, Pam Grier. SON... PAM GRIER!!! Thanks partly to Roger Corman we got to know Pam Grier. They aint pretending to create art. However there is no doubt that they in had a major impact on American popular culture. Let me repeat LaMarre and Perry are not creating art. (However, Tyler Perry is Rembrandt compared to what bruh' man right heah is puttin' out.) But you can potentially be our Black Roger Corman and Lloyd Kaufman. That's a great achievement in my book. There are a lot of film makers wish they could be that. Stop getting upset because even Stevie Wonder can see you aint got the goods for cinematic greatness (or even ok-ness for that matter) Take a page from Kaufman/Corman, create the schlock that us bourgie black folk secretly crave but are too proud to admit. We will love you for it when we do a Musuem of Moving Images retrospective of your work. I will be getting a bootleg copy of "Gang of Roses" part deux (hell no I ain't paying for it) I will watch it after I see my must see film Pariah. Tootaloos.

    Too bad it'll never end

  • KeepingItReal | January 12, 2012 11:15 PM

I have to disagree with you. They are creating art. It being up to standard is the issue.

  • lil nut | January 12, 2012 10:15 PMReply

    ha haaaaa!

  • Neziah | January 12, 2012 9:56 PMReply

This guy makes Ed Wood and Uwe Boll look like cinematic visionaries and geniuses. Nice job making yourself look like a dumbass on camera. I'm sure everyone is jealous of your shitty ass "work", right? Go to hell.

  • Tamara | January 12, 2012 9:47 PMReply

Tears...for the genre. And a slow head-shake for the contradiction(s) found in the second video.

  • Ghost | January 12, 2012 9:46 PMReply

Tyler Perry lives in a million dollar home as does Jay Z and yet I don't SUPPORT them. So I guess I won't support you either. If you were a real director you wouldn't have the star of the film be Kayne West leftovers. Call me when you do sometthing of interest.
