Garcelle Beauvais has joined the cast of Roland Emmerich's thriller White House Down, which already stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Lance Reddick.
In the film, Tatum will star as a Secret Service agent who tries to save the president when the White House is attacked. Jamie Foxx will play the President of the USA.
Reddick will play Colonel Janowitz, whose responsibility is the Speaker of the House, to be played by Richard Jenkins.
And the lovely Ms Beauvais, who co-starred with Jamie Foxx on his hit TV sitcome in the late 1990s (The Jamie Foxx Show), reunites with him here to play his wife, the First Lady.
James Woods and Joey King round out the cast for White House Down, a film that Tatum's Iron Horse Entertainment company is executive producing.
Beauvais (who's been doing primarily TV work lately, in Frankin & Bash), will next be seen playing someone else's wife - Denzel Washington's - in Flight, this fall.

On another note. I'm not too keen on this plot. Didn't we see this in Season 7 of '24'?

I'm glad she's got a shot in a feature film. But you know who would be perfect for the FLOTUS role? My girl Gina Torres.

Good to see that they will reunite and that they have kept a good working relationship over the years.
