Given to filmmakers who have shown support and dedication for filmmaking in Chicago, Tillman and Teitel, who are both graduates of the Columbia College Film School in Chicago, have made several films in Chicago including Barbershop and Barbershop 2, Soul Food, Roll Bounce and Home for the Holidays.
The event, in which the Chicago area film critics will present their top picks in choices for several 2012 film categories (including Best Picture, Actor, Actress, Screenplay etc), and for which Quvenzhane Wallis won this year's CFCA award for Most Promising Newcomer, is open to the public.
The event and dinner afterwards will be held at the Muvico Theater in Rosemont IL. Tickets can be purchased HERE
Both Tillman and Tietel, whose latest film The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete, premiered last month at the Sundance Film Festival, will be present to receive their award.
