A successful woman with acerbic wit who returns to BlueBell and makes quick friends with Rachel Bilson's Zoe. However, upon her return home, Ruby will encounter some unresolved issues with her fellow townspeople -- including Lemon (Jaime King) and Lavon (Cress Williams).
Since the end of Girlfriends, Ms Brooks has appeared in a number of indie feature films and TV shows.
Hart of Dixie season 2 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. on the CW.

Hey, it's legit work, and it doesn't sound like a degrading role. Good for her

I'm just glad to see that actress Golden Brooks who also was on the successful show for many seasons "Girlfriends" even though it's been some time ago that she appeared on television show. She'll now appear on CW's Hart of Dixie it's just good to hear that she's back on television again, but a different character on totally different show.

Blech. Glad I don't watch that show; this would be painful. For all her charms, can't take Rachel Bilson seriously as a doctor for one second and for all her...her...um...for all the work she's done, can't take Golden Brooks at all.

Wow she is stunning and a half! Miss the whole crew of Girlfriends! It used to air even here in Africa.
