Mary J. BligeTyrese GibsonLuke James, and Nas round out the cast.

Terence Blanchard is the film score's composer, while Raphael Saadiq wrote music for it.

It opens November 27, 2013, in the middle of a somewhat crowded fall for black films.

It was Laura Karpman that scored the film, not Terence Blanchard!
