ComicBookMovie.com is reporting that Harold Perrineau (Oz, The Matrix, Lost) will be heard as the voice of Blade when the new Marvel anime series based on the comic character debuts on G4 in January 2012.

In response to his casting, Perrineau is quoted as saying, “It’s very exciting, and a very cool job! I get to wield a sword and kill vampires . . . and just generally be a badass. It’s a lot of fun!”.

Obviously, Perrineau was either misquoted, or someone forgot to explain to him that he will only be voicing the role, and not actually wielding any swords.

As well as voice, physical movement such as wielding a sword is required to get the full effect for his role. Try to up lift the brother, rather than putting him down.

I saw every episode online through fansubs and I can vouch for this being a truly badass and terrific show. In fact, it's the best version of the character to be put on screen. I might even re-watch it in English.
