HBO Finally Sets Premiere Date For 'Treme' Season 3

The season finale of season 2 aired just over a year ago, and fans of HBO's acclaimed New Orleans-set drama Treme (created by David Simon and Eric Overmyer that premiered on April 11, 2010) have since been waiting patiently for season 3 to begin.

The cable network finally announced that a 10-episode season 3 run will start on Sunday, September 23, at 10pm.

As previously announced, this will the the penultimate season for Treme, as plans are for season 4 to be its last before it goes off the air.

Meanwhile, the premiere date for Boardwalk Empire's 3rd season is set for September 16th, at 9pm.

Clarke Peters, Wendell Pierce and Khandi Alexander all make up the series' ensemble cast of many.
