The info IS out there if you're looking for it, so this isn't necessarily a spoiler; but for those who prefer to know nothing at all, you can skip this post.

For the rest of you who've wondered about how Olivia Pope's relationship with the Prez was started, and how Olivia's team was assembled, you'll be glad to know that episode 6, the second to the last episode, airing NEXT WEEK Thursday, the 10th (not tonight's episode) wll reveal all of that. Titled The Trail, episode 6 will contain mostly flashbacks.

Here's the synopsis:

As Gideon investigates Amanda's past, flashbacks recall the contentious primary race between Fitz and Sally Langston, who's now vice president; how Olivia and Fitz first met, on the campaign trail; and how each of Olivia's associates joined the team.

We already know how the last associate joined the team, but not the others; and we certainly don't have all the details of her early trysts with the Prez, so this episode will likely fill in some holes for us before the final episode of the season the following week.

And as I noted in a past post, I'm hoping that some time between now and then, ABC will renew the series for a second season.

Also of note, Scandal season 1 will be released on DVD in a 2-disc set on June 12th, for $29.99. There's no mention of a Blu-ray release, although I'm sure that'll be coming as well, likely on the same date, or soon thereafter.

Also no word on extra features, if any.

You can preorder on Amazon right now, if you'd like. Click HERE to do so.

And finally, leading up to tonight's episode (#5) watch a clip from it below, and join us for the weekly S&A Scandal Talkback session tomorrow!
