Any of you watch last night? I didn't. No cable. Though I'm sure it was streaming on line somewhere. But no matter, I got all the info and entertainment I needed from my Twitter and Facebook feeds ;)

The awards we care about, given this site's main focus: Taraji P. Henson won the award for Best Actress; Idris Elba won for Best Actor, and For Colored Girls won for Best Movie. Also, in a tie, Jaden Smith and Willow Smith won the Young Stars award. Coincidence? They couldn't just give it to one of them, could they? I'm sure King and Queen Smith are both very proud.

And apparently, the world likes Chris Brown again, because he was the night's big winner, taking home 4 trophies.

In the clip below, the Smiths receive their awards, and also one of the more awkward moments of the evening:

One of the actors from Red Tails said the movie would be released (or i would say dumped) in Jan 2012. By passing award season and a Jan release date sings turkey. Too Bad.
