Idris Elba Wins Top Honor at UK Crime Thriller Awards

Friday night (Oct 7), Idris Elba was awarded the U.K.’s annual Crime Thriller Award for Best Actor for his lead role in the BBC series Luther.

Presented annually by the Crime Writers' Association, the event presents awards (called daggers) for best actor, actress, supporting actor, supporting actress, best TV, best international TV and best film alongside the CWA book awards, The Gold Dagger, Steel Dagger and New Blood Dagger.

This year's event is scheduled to be broadcast on ITV3 on Tuesday, October 11th.

    Don't think the US could or would do a "Luther" so bravo for BBC.
