To me, he will ALWAYS be dude at the back of the bus singing, "Always Coca-Cola!"

I'm okay with Tyrese, but this biting of Tupac's title doesn't sit right.

I don't get it ... why the hate? What has Tyrese said/done to deserve being called a "'black as ish' jerk off?" And how is saying that NOT an example of colorism?

  • Katie | March 26, 2013 3:43 PM

What BLUTOPAZ said. If he doesn't want people to associate to HIS skin color with feces, then he shouldn't have compared the two. He could have compared his skin to the midnight sky or onyx--something beautiful, but no, he used "ish."

  • BluTopaz | March 26, 2013 2:31 PM

He referred to HIMSELF as "black as ish", google it.

Remember when the word 'documentary' still had some cachet to it? This z lister will probably get booked on the Steve Harvey show to advertise this "film"; and they will spend the entire hour giving free advice to Black women.

Tyrese is annoying with his fake-deep tweets and his relationship book but he's been a successful artist and lead in high profile movies for a while so he def is not a Z-list and has a fanbase. Welps

^^No disrespect to the dude but an entire documentary on his path to semi-celebrity? Seems like something more appropriate for that hateful network that carries Unsung.

I side eye any black woman that supports this "black as ish" jerk off.
