Appearing in Mexico City to promote "Hercules," Johnson promised that, whatever choice he makes, he will definitely not disappoint fans of the comic.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson says he will star in an upcoming DC Comics movie adaption, but still has to decide on which DC Comics superhero it'll be.

His choices: Shazam or his arch-nemesis Black Adam.

Although it may not be too hard of a choice for him to make, since he told the Associated Press yesterday that he's always been a fan of anti-heroes, and that one of his favorite DC Comics characters is Black Adam.

So will it be Black Adam then, while someone else plays Shazam?

Those of you who are DC Comics enthusiasts, you're invited to chime in with your thoughts.

But according to the DC Comics wiki, Black Adam is a supervillain, and, as noted, primary adversary of Shazam (originally called Captain Marvel). Black Adam, as originally depicted, was a corrupted, ancient Egyptian predecessor of Captain Marvel, who fought his way to modern times to challenge the hero and his Marvel Family associates. Since the turn of the 21st century, however, Black Adam has been re-defined by DC Comics as a corrupted antihero attempting to "clear his name."

His supervillain abilities include super strength, super speed, super stamina, super senses, super intellect, healing factor, invulnerability, flight, and fearlessness. Essentially, he's an *evil* version of his nemesis, Shazam.

Appearing in Mexico City to promote "Hercules," Johnson promised that, whatever choice he makes, he will definitely not disappoint fans of the comic.

"I am putting my heart and soul and my bones into this role," he said.

There've been rumors that the character Johnson decides to play will appear ": Superman v BatmanDawn of Justice," which is scheduled to be released in 2016. But the actor, not surprisingly, had nothing to say about that.
