I usually start by saying how HOT the show will be and this Sunday's live podcast is no exception.  Veteran film and stage actor Roger Guenveur Smith will be joining us for the hour.  His illustrious career includes appearances in popular films from the past like Do The Right Thing and Malcolm X to recent indie fare projects such as Moozlum, Better Mus' Come and Cornerstore.

He received an Obie Award for his portrayal of Black Panther Party co-founder Huey P. Newton in his 1996 one-man play A Huey P. Newton Story.  In 2001, it was made into a made-for-tv film directed by Spike Lee.

In addition to Smith, we'll also get a film festival update from the man in charge, Tambay, who's currently attending the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Remember, join us HERE on Blogtalk Radio this Sunday at 4:00pm/ET.  Don't forget to log into the chat room as well.  If you have a question for Smith, please leave it in the comments section and we'll try to get to some of them.

Below is a clip of Smith playing Newton (who was born today) in the Spike Lee directed film version.  See ya Sunday!
