Your reactions to the film were mixed - some enjoyed it, others didn't. C'est la vie... so it goes.

Those that did will be glad to know that it'll be on Blu-ray and DVD on August 9th, almost exactly a month away, both formats featuring bonus materials that include: Commentary with director Salim Akil, Paula Patton and Laz Alonso; "You’re Invited: Behind the Scenes” featurette; “Honoring the Tradition of Jumping the Broom” featurette; and a Blu-ray exclusive: movieIQ+sync.

The Blu-ray prices in at $35.99 SRP and DVD, $30.99 SRP.

I thought it was...okay. The opening scene was so highly stylized, the El DeBarge cameo was too much, and I feel Paula Patton is not leading lady material. I like her a lot, so this is not hating, but feel she is miscast in most things. The Akils seem to invest a lot in her career, but I would like to see her in other roles than rom-com lead.

I'm looking forward to the DVD release date. I really enjoyed the film. I laughed and enjoyed the eye-candy. It was a feel good, up beat film. That's just what everyone needs.
