Keke Palmer will be one member of an ensemble cast of an upcoming new DIRECTV drama series from Neil Labute, titled Full Circle, the dish company announced today.
Palmer joins Tom Felton, Minka Kelly, Julian McMahon, David Boreanaz, Devon Gearhart, Billy Campbell, Kate Walsh, Noah Silver, Ally Sheedy, Cheyenne Jackson and Robin Weigert.
Neil LaBute (The Shape of Things, In the Company of Men) makes his television debut, with a series that examines the human condition and relationships through a series of conversations between 11 people whose lives, unbeknownst to them, are intertwined. Described as a modern day La Ronde meets My Dinner with Andre, it explores the nature of human contact and true togetherness in our current technology-driven world.
Full Circle will be executive produced by Nick Hamm (he did the same for another DIRECTV original series titled Rogue, which stars Thandie Newton) for Momentum TV.
Production on the series, which will take place at DIRECTV’s Los Angeles Broadcasting Center, will begin in early summer 2013 and it will air on DIRECTV’s Audience channel in fall 2013.
“Neil has written a piece of revolutionary television. I am honored and privileged to be able to bring it to the screen with such a forward-thinking and adventurous network as DIRECTV.” said Nick Hamm.
A piece of revolutionary television, he says; big words. I hope it delivers, because the last series Hamm backed (Rogue) didn't do so well critically.
As for Keke Palmer, no word on what exactly her role in this is. She'll next be seen in VH1's TLC biopic, playing Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas.
