Kevin Hart's stock continues to rise... he's cashing in all the currency, working his way into official host of the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, which takes place next month.
The new was announced earlier today.
Hart was the host of the 2011 BET Awards by the way, but this is certainly a grander stage that will expose him to an even wider audience.
The man's been quite busy since the release of his hit concert film Laugh at My Pain - with roles in recent and upcoming movies including Think Like a Man, The Five-Year Engagement, Valet Guys, End Of The World, About Last Night, and TV, BET's upcoming new series House Husbands.

Good for him, but I stopped watching MTV long ago. Adding him as host won't make me watch. Again, good for him.
