Get ready for LeBron James-inspired projects on the small and big screen.

Already announced is the STARZ half-hour scripted comedy series titled Survivor’s Remorse, which is set in the world of professional basketball and follows a basketball phenom in his early 20’s who is suddenly thrust into the limelight after signing a multi-million dollar contract with a professional basketball team, and is forced to confront the challenges of carrying opportunistic family members and their strong ties to the impoverished community that they come from.

The feature film, made public yesterday, will be based on James' high school years, and hails from Frank E. Flowers (HavenMetro Manila), Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire, The Wolf Of Wall Streetand Rachel Winter (Dallas Buyers Club), with James and his manager Maverick Carter co-producing.

There's is also a third LeBron James project in development, although he actually stars in this one - a comedy feature titled Ballers, which is set up at Universal Pictures, with Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer and Michael Rosenberg producing.

James will star in the film with Kevin Hart, who will play a man who really wants to be known as something other than the brother of an NBA superstar, played by LeBron James, and gets his chance to prove himself when he and some friends attend a fantasy basketball camp in Miami. Naturally, hijinx and hilarity ensue.

Clearly, one of James' post-NBA aspirations will involve media.

Somebody should write a story about an dejected crab who feels he is all alone in the world and sets out to unite with those just like him. Just as the crab revolution is starting to pick up steam the king crab sees himself on television and starts to rebel against his positive portrayal and the revolution cannibalizes itself and the world frees itself of crabs without ever having lift a finger. There is only one person a crab hates more than a successful person is himself.

If only the story included a barbershop with a cast of colorful stereotypes. Or a black man in a fat suit and a dress. Then we'd really have something.
