Given the wealth of actors whose names have been announced as cast members in Lee Daniels' upcoming bio The Butler, there has been plenty of speculation about which of those actors will play Martin Luther King Jr.
Speculate no more because Daniels has hired True Blood's Nelsan Ellis to play MLK in The Butler.
Last we saw Ellis on the big screen was in last year's award-winning drama The Help, playing Henry, the waiter.
Ellis joins a loaded cast that includes: Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, John Cusack, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda, Melissa Leo,Liev Schreiber, Jesse Williams, Mariah Carey, Yaya DaCosta, and many more.

@ALM: Yeah i`ve seen his work and he seems like he can carry the role to justice for portraying an iconic figure like MLK.

@Aswilliams: I was thinking something similar. He definitely has the likeness down. I didn't see "The Help", so I am not familiar with viewing Mr. Reynold's work. Congratulations to him!

He certainly looks like Dr. King but can he bring King`s mannerisms and voice to match the Civil Rights icon. I do have confidence that he`ll do King justice in this film.
