Screening for ONE night next month, on July 19th at 6:30pm, at Hot Docs Bloor Cinema in Toronto is former Much Music editor Sonia Godding Togobo's feature documentary about a Haitian woman adopted by white Canadians, who returns to Haiti to find her biological family.

Adopted ID is a gripping, debut film from. The film uncovers Judith Craig’s extraordinary journey as she bravely returns to the impoverished nation of Haiti to find her birth parents. From the poverty-stricken families who’ve given up a child, to the foreign families looking to adopt one, these disparate worlds collide amid her quest to solve the puzzle of her past. With the insights and sounds of pre-earthquake Haiti as a backdrop, these intersecting lives provide a rare and intimate insight into the conditions surrounding transracial adoption.
This will be the film's North American premiere, with a Q&A to follow with the filmmaker, after the screening.
