Lennie James has signed up to play a former heroin addict trying to stay clean and rebuild his life, in a gritty new Channel 4 (UK) 4-part drama series titled Run.

The series will also star Olivia Colman and Jaime Winstone, and tells the stories of four seemingly unconnected characters, including Olivia's single mother struggling to keep her teenage sons on the straight and narrow, and Jaime's character finding her life turned upside down when her boyfriend is murdered.

The series is currently being filmed in London.

Lennie James may not be a household name (yet), but the man stays employed, both here in the USA, and in the UK.

He's currently starring in the new BBC drama series, Line Of Duty, and may be returning to AMC's The Walking Dead in the fall.

Ah this man. Forever will he reign. I can't say he's understated because he gets good roles. He's one of the luck few. He's truly brilliant though. Loving Line of Duty at the moment. It's the first time I've watched him as an all out villain.

First saw him in SNATCH, then in London on stage as Walter Lee in RAISIN. Will watch anything Lennie does. A Beast!

Same here. I saw him in Columbiana and Walking Dead. Probably seen him elsewhere and did not know. But he is one of my "don't care what he's in I will watch" list.

LOVED him in Snatch: "I'm sorry, I couldn't get the bi-noc-u-lars out in time." I always say binoculars that way now. Dude's got the chops for sure!
