Loretta Devine has joined the cast of Lifetime’s new drama series The Client List as a series regular.

The series, which is based on a 2010 original movie produced by the network, stars Jennifer Love Hewitt as Riley, "a Texas housewife who, after being deserted by her husband, ends up running a massage parlor that serves as a front for a call-girl service."

Ms Devine will play the owner of the massage parlor.

Cybill Shepherd, who co-starred in the original movie as Hewitt’s character’s mother, will also return to the new TV series in the same role.

Should be a nice steady paycheck for Loretta, given that she'll be a series regular.

I know some people who have met her and they say she is as pleasant as a screen door on a submarine.

Interesting. I've met her a few times and she's always been very sweet and gracious. Not totally open, but very nice.

Great to hear that actress "Loretta Devine" will have a recurring role on the new show on the "Lifetime Network" show "The Client List". I've heard of this show some time ago,the show does sounds interesting others on the show actress Cybill Shepherd and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
It's rare to see a show like this to be on television and story of the show does have an interesting element to it. Definitely watching this show.
