As you can see in the image above, NBC has once again changed the title of its upcoming mid-season opulent soap, which was initially titled Notorious, and then switched to Infamous (which we've known it as for the last many months). It will now be called Deception - final answer, as NBC sets up to start the series' promotional campaign, although there's still no official debut date yet.

Notorious, Infamous, Deception stars Meagan Good as detective Joanna Locasto, a female detective who returns undercover to the wealthy family she grew up in - as the maid's daughter - to solve the murder of the notorious heiress who was once her closest friend - celebutante Vivian Lawson.

The NBC series co-stars Laz AlonsoVictor Garber, Tate Donovan, and Katherine LaNasa co-starring.

Laz Alonso is slated to play NYPD detective Will Sacovitch, who recruits Good's character, his former flame, to team up and infiltrate the Lawson home - led by Victor Garber as Robert Lawson, and Tate Donovan as his son.

We anticipate an S&A Infamous Talkback series when the time comes.

I hope Laz Alonso works on that accent...didn't sound natural at all.

When dates get pushed back and titles changed, it's never a great sign.

You never know. Scandal was pushed several times, only shot 7 episodes, the last of which was filmed in August of 2011, and ABC didn't dump it onto the schedule until April of 2012. The title change is no big deal.

Meagan has lowered her voice some, or maybe the voice change comes with age. She doesn't look her age by the way. She always looks about 8 years younger than she really is. The new title is cliched, but it sounds better than the other two previous titles. I am excited to see Meagan and Laz on the screen each week. Since they are former flames, maybe we will get some cocoa/caramel love on the screen. A girl can hope.

Meagan is a ridiculously pretty woman. I've never seen her look as haggard as she does in that promo still. Photoshop did her no justice. Quick question, though. What show is this supposed to go up against? Just curious.

I hope they don't try to put it up against Scandal or Revenge, because that'd be a wrap. Maybe moving it into a 2 hr block with Grimm as the lead-in would give it a good chance.
