While he's currently working on Steve McQueen's 12 Years A Slave, Michael K. Williams is reportedly in talks to join the cast of MGM and Sony Pictures'  reboot of Robocop which starts shooting in September in Toronto

The project, long  attached to director Darren Aronofsky,  will be directed by Brazilian director Jose Padilha (Elite Squad) with Joel Kinnaman in the title role and Hugh Laurie as the villian.

The film cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman and Jackie Earle Haley

Williams will supposedly play Kinnaman's partner in the film which means that most likely there's a 70-80% that he going to get offed somewhere in the film.

You know how it goes...

Maybe his character will get offed in the new telling. But if it follows the original storyline, the partner is injured but does not die. I believe the original still stands up the same way the original Total Recall stands up. But Hugh Laurie would make an excellent corporate villain taking up the mantle from Ronnie Cox.
