I'm actually surprised to see Morgan Freeman sharing top billing on the poster with Tom Cruise. It's not often that Tom Cruse shares top billing like this for any of his films. Also, Freeman doesn't heavily featured in the trailer. It's been all Cruise.

Freeman stars alongside Cruise in the post-apocalyptic thriller Oblivion, directed by Joseph Kosinski for Universal Pictures.

Andrea Riseborough and Olga Kurylenko also co-star in a story that will see Cruise as the last man on an earth that's become uninhabitable "who stays behind to repair ships that hunt down and blast a virulent alien species. His soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands."

Freeman will play the leader of the human resistance on Earth, Malcolm Beech.

I wonder if his Rendezvous With Rama adaptation that's been around forever (with David Fincher supposed to direct) will ever happen. He's not getting any younger.

I just realized that this might be the first time he and Tom Cruise have ever worked together.

Oblivion is out in April.

After the Jack Reacher debacle, Tom Cruise NEEDS Morgan Freeman to help carry this film.

Didn't Will Smith basically already make this film (without Freeman), and isn't Will about to make this film again (with his son)?

You have no clue? Could it be that Tom Cruise needs Morgan Freeman to promote his film. Is that too much to ask of you?

I mean, really! It's not like Morgan Freeman is internationally acclaimed, well-known, and heavily awarded. If Matt Damon can share a poster/billing with him, Tom Cruise damn sure can. This man only makes money in Mission Impossible and gets no Oscar attention.
