Summit Entertainment is close to securing a director for it's planned sequel to hit action film Red, THR is reporting.  The film starred Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, and Helen Mirren; all of whom are expected to return for the sequel.

The 2010 film, about four "over-the-hill" ex-CIA operatives who are forced out of retirement, grossed close to $200M worldwide.

I saw "RED"...and i could have sworn his character dies(even before the movie's end)? Then again, if this is a sequel, i guess it's no more preposterous that his character could have only pretended to die than the premise of over-the-hill ex-C.I.A operatives being forced out of retirement.
